Usage
shoplift <item name> [optional shopkeeper name]
Shopkeepers are traditionally difficult to steal directly from - a whole different set of skills are used to liberate items from shops, and shoplifting is how you do it. You'll usually be a lot more successful trying to shoplift items than stealing them, or mugging a shopkeeper for the loot in his cash register.
Additionally, shoplifting is usually considered a petty, non-violent crime, meaning the risks of getting caught are much lower than regular steal. Charisma can also help you talk your way out of getting caught.
Note that large items are substantially more difficult to shoplift than smaller ones.
