This is an automatic skill that is used when in wooded forest areas. Cartographers trained in forest navigation can travel significantly farther and faster than those who are not. It also becomes less tiring to gather raw materials in woodlands when well-versed in the skill.
If you know forester, you will be slightly more effective when hiding in terrain with trees.
