The 'farsee' spell is used to show the caster an image of the area around a specified creature. The target of the spell can usually sense that it is being cast, and can occasionally counter it. Also, the further the target is from the caster, the less likely it is to be successful. Some powerful creature have intrinsic screens against such scrying, and certain ambient conditions may also block the spell.
If the spell is successful, an eye-like sensor will appear in mid-air near the target. The eye will survey the area and disappear before any action can be taken against it. For the time the eye is open, the caster will see what the eye sees.
Farsee finds a single creature. Unlike Locate Object, it matches only the first word of the name given and ignores any additional keywords, so it works best on mobs with unique names — for common names such as dwarf, guard, soldier, or man it usually must be cast several times with a number prefix, e.g. c farsee 2.man.
Example
c farsee gorilla
You hold your hands out in front of you, and will a dark cloud of magic
into existence above them. Staring into it, you see an image...
--------------------
Location - A tropical jungle island
In a dense jungle
A large, black, muscular primate walking around on its knuckles.
mob: A gorilla (is about your size)
A stout spear with a huge flared head lays ready to take down the nearest elephant.

[Exits: north east southwest ]
--------------------
You relax your concentration, lower your hands, and watch the cloud
dissipate back into the aether.
Notes
- When farseeing into a dark room with a light source active you may get "Somewhere very dark" depending on your set infra settings.
- The message "Something big and powerful blocks your vision" means the mob is being worked on by a builder.
