The 'cobbler' skill allows you to produce a variety of custom footwear, ranging from sandals to combat boots. Most of these have their own special stat, such as constitution or movement regeneration.
While technically cobbling is the art of repairing shoes, as opposed to the creation of shoes a.k.a. cordwaining, "cobbler" has become a general term for anyone that works with shoes and boots.
