This necromancer spell forms a crude clay man out of nearby dirt and clay. The clay man has no intelligence and is largely uncontrollable, but it will assist the caster in combat and act as a punching bag. Animated entities such as this require a small amount of mana to sustain, and may break down if you run out of mana. speak Clay men are one of the cheapest necromancer minions in that they don't require any preparation, the materials needed are gathered as part of the casting. In September 2015 clay man were changed to require the casting room have the materials needed shambling mound.
Notes
- Summoning a clay man is cheap and requires no soulstones or other resources sometimes making it a better option than the tougher golems like the Wood Woad
- A clay man has poison resistance, which can make it more useful against poison wielding foes
- A clay man requires 1 control point.
- Only 1 animated minion is allowed at once (see the page on control points)
- Only castable in rooms that contain dirt this means they are not castable on water terrain and other terrain types that don't have the raw materials needed for their contruction.
