The mid-level 'fear' is typically used for crowd control. Its primary intent is to strike fear into the heart of an attacker so as to prevent further conflict from occurring. When successful, the target is seized by an uncontrollable irrational fear of the caster, and will do anything to flee from the caster.
Notes
- Fear deals no damage, serving only to force to target to try to flee the room
- Some enemies (usually guards and the like) cannot be forced out of the room they guard with this spell
- Bone Prison is a more effective crowd control spell, but Fear can be cast in more situations
