The 'season wood' skill allows you to toughen a finished piece of woodcrafted armor, jewelry, ammunition or a weapon by heating it over a fire. This increases the armor value of armor, adds parry and shield block effects to jewelry and adds to the hitroll of weapons and ammunition, while giving the piece a boost in quality.
Seasoning wood costs one profession point, and it can only be done once. It has a chance to warp and crack the item, effectively destroying it, if bungled.
