The 'haute couture' and 'orphrey' skills expand upon the basics of tailoring. Haute couture allows you to add decorative fringe or lace to clothing to enhance its movement regeneration or mana regeneration, respectively. Orphrey is an extreme form of embroidery, often involving complex interlaced knotwork and other patterns. It can only be added to tailored clothing, and it increases the effect of the underlying fabric on the clothing as well as the quality.

Orphrey costs 1 profession points in addition the normal tailoring costs. Like the basic tailoring options, the fringe, lace and orphrey flourishes cannot be added to clothing that has already been tailored by some other method.

The 'shabby chic' skill has a different approach. A tailor with an eye for design has a greater chance of producing higher-quality clothing with lower cost cloth such as burlap, hemp, wool, flannel or corduroy. The skill is used automatically when making hats or clothing out of these materials.
