summon demon [soulstone] visage
While necromancers are typically content to have minions perform their dirty work, the old adage 'when you want something done right, do it yourself' still applies from time to time. To facilitate this, the 'infernal visage' summoning ritual exists.
This particularly rare concordance with demonkind allows a necromancer to bond a willing demon to his skin. Only select few demon races are suitable, and the ritual is considered to be very dangerous to all but the most experienced of necromancers.
Once bonded, the necromancer gains the following abilities for a short time:
- Spell resistance
- Resistance to fire
- Increased hitroll and damroll
- Protection against good creatures
- Increased constitution
- Increased success rate for summoning demons
For the duration thereof, the evil alignment of the demon subsumes the alignment of the necromancer, and other beings may behave accordingly. Also, if the necromancer is subjected to 'censure demon' spell of sufficient strength while under the influence of an infernal visage, the effects end immediately.
