There are various ways players can access maps:-
- dclients built in gui mapper
- alter aeon asci map command
- ingame maps
- online maps
Dclient map
Dclient has it's own built in gui mapper that updates as you move around the mud. Each room is given a color depending on its terrain type and barriers are shown as white borders lines around each room. The mapper retains a history of rooms visited on the server, so when a player goes back to an area they will see all the rooms they had previously discovered. The history is limited however and can only remember so many rooms before the old ones are deleted to make space for the newly discovered ones.
