There are various ways players can access maps:-
- dclients built in gui mapper
- alteraeon asci map command
- ingame maps
- online maps
Dclient map
Dclient has it's own built in gui mapper that updates as you move around the mud. Each room is given a color depending on its terrain type and barriers are shown as white borders lines around each room.
