The event featured three different types of challenges:-
This was a solo race through a volcano, with the objective been to get the fastest time possible. The timer started when the character touched the pedestal in the first room and stoped when the character completed the course by touching the pedestal in the final room. There were several obstacles along the course designed to slow players down they were four gates, two exits which required climbing and an random water section. Two of the gates were locked and required picking. A reward of a completely customized item was offered as a prize for the character(s) who completed the course in the fastest time. Achieving a fast time involved creative use of skills as well as maxing things like thief skill, intelligence, picklocks, climbing, mountaineering, shadowwalk.
During in the event, the contest part was temporarily removed after it was discovered that some players had been cheating by exploiting a bug which allowed them to group to achieve the fastest time, the contest was later reinstated after the bug was fixed.
Legacy deeds were awarded to the characters who completed the course in the three fastest times.
This trial involved putting out a series of fires within five minutes, by using spells such as icebolt, cone of cold and create water. A boss mob wandered the area and although not necessary for completing the challenge impeded a players progress by starting more fires. Although it was perfectly possible to complete this challenge solo, as had been indicated in Shadowfax's opening event intructions, most players chose to assembled large groups to take on the challenge.
Each time a character completed the trial they were rewarded with a wand of create water.
During the event several players led large groups to attempt to reach the highest wave possible. Early on the player Wyrm led a group up to wave 50. Towards the end of the event, on June 20th the player Lokar led a 40 to 50 character group to wave 65.
Lagacy deeds were awarded for players who conquered waves 65, 50 and 1.
Upon completing all three trials players received the legacy deed Won all three Trials By Fire of the Summer Solstice Celebration of 2015 and a firefighters badge.

A wand of create water was given each time a character completed the forest fire trial.

A voucher for gauntlets of red flames was awarded to characters who finished in 2nd place on both the firewalking and survival trials. By exchanging the voucher with one of the guildmasters in Ralnoth players had a choice of it been tailored to a specific class.

Date: 2015 Jun 27 05:52 From: shadowfax Subject: How I beat the forest fighting trial solo ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Many of you have asked how I was able to complete the forest fire trial with only Felonia. The answer is: Preparation. Felonia doesn't know 'create water', and I didn't have her learn it. She does, however, know store/tap, and I had her learn 'wall of ice'. Many of you discovered that 'create water' was the most mana efficient means of combating the fires, but the most powerful and effective spell for a high level mage like Felonia would actually have been 'wall of ice'. To defeat the challenge, I grabbed a bunch of throwing daggers off of clan storage and had Felonia while wearing her full mage cast set (making her effective cast level 52) store 'wall of ice' on eighty of them over the course of about a half hour. Before I entered the trial area, I wrote an alias to quickly use the temporary wands on each fire and switch out tapped daggers for fresh ones, and I had Felonia wear her mana regen set. I then entered the trial area and moved row by row, wiping out the first dozen fires with two taps each. Once 25 fires were put out, I broke off and started hunting the thoqqua. I quickly picked it up on scan in the first row, shadow bound it, and switched back to Felonia's mage cast set. It took two 'ball lightning' spells to kill it. I then switched her back to her mana regen set and resumed fighting fires, which now took more an increasing number of taps to defeat than before. After all the stores spells were expired, I had Felonia switch back to her mage cast set once again (she had regenerated nearly all of her mana back by that point) and used 'cone of cold' to put out the last several fires except the last one, where I had to have her wait to regenerate enough mana to repeatedly cast 'frostflower' until it went out. She won the challenge with only a few seconds to spare.
