Disenchanting is the opposite of enchanting, instead of adding properties to an object disenchant removes them.

Necromancer Disenchant skills

Currently there are three necromancer skills for disenchanting items, introduced to the mud on December 18, 2014. The skills have no trainers or spellbooks and must be learnt via demonic tutor they also have a deliberately high cost to use requiring the use of a black soulstone and gold.

  • Lighteater skill. This is an 'enchant' ritual which can be used to remove light and glow flags from items.
  • Silence skill. This is an 'enchant' ritual which can be used to remove hum flags from items.
  • Disenchant skill. This is an 'enchant' ritual which can be used to remove magical effects from items.

Notes

  • Although perhaps not a true disenchant skill, the mage spell dispel can be used to remove the affects of enchanted armor.
  • When the skills were released the price of white and black souls rose quite sharply on the soulmarket
  • Skills can be accessed using the enchant command.
  • When failing the skill no soulstone or gold is taken only mana.
