Clan Shadow alliance was created on July 31, 2004, making it one of the older clans still in existence.  It was first formed as a merger of clans Syndicate and Crusaders.  An old plaque on the third floor of the clan area lists the original founders as Fehlan, Bser, Kamek, Keiser, Shadowdeath, and Grolantor.

There are no rigid numerical requirements (levels or fame) to join Shadow Alliance.  Usually an interested player contacts one of the clan members to begin the application process.  The clan members will vote on a applicant and the outcome of that vote determines if they will be accepted or rejected.  Many factors come into play during the voting process. Player attitudes and character are weighed as well as mudding abilities.  It is advisable to run with and get to know members of the clan before asking to join.
