This quest can be started from the general storekeeper who is southeast of the town square in Vemarken.
Steps
- Go to the mayoral estate (nw 2e 2n from store) and talk to the mayor.
- Return to the storekeeper and talk to him.
Story
The general storekeeper tells you, 'I'm trying to get the Mayor to lower taxes a bit, but he's just ignoring me. Maybe if a customer talked to him, especially a tourist such as yourself, he might give in. His house is on the northeast side of town.'
You try to strike up a conversation with The Mayor of Vemarken... The Mayor of Vemarken tells you, 'You really think prices are too high? Well you march right back to the general store and tell that oaf to take five percent off the top, pronto! Tell him the Mayor sent you.'
You try to strike up a conversation with the general storekeeper... The general storekeeper tells you, 'Hah! I thought so. Thank you for your help. Here's a little something for your trouble, friend.'
