Each room has it’s own terrain type, which affects the movement cost associated with moving through the room.

Swamps are very difficult and time conssuming to cross one skill which will help is druid's mudwalker

Forest and jungle

Forest and jungles can take some movement to navigate through depending on the density. These are a good place to gather wood and collect acorns. The forest navigation skill can help with movement through forests and jungles.

Commands

To see details of the local terrain type the terrain command.

The local terrain is desert.
